We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Social Care Worker to join our team in Ard na Mara, Ladysbridge, Co Cork and St Laurence, Lota Park, Glanmire, Co Cork

Contract Type:      

Contract (i) Part time, specified purpose (Ard na Mara, Ladysbridge)
Contract (ii) Part time, permanent (St Laurence, Lota Park, Glanmire)

Contract Hours:     

Contract (i) 19.5hrs per week
Contract (ii) 19.5hrs per week

Salary Scale:    €35,216 to €47,087 pro rata per annum
 

Overview of the Post: 
To work as part of the team in Ard NaMara/St Laurence and to support the Person in Charge/Social Care Leader in providing a quality service to adults with disabilities availing of respite and residential services.  Assisting Service Owners to plan for and direct their supports to meet their personal goals during respite, and to support service owners in residential services to make connections within their local community.

The successful candidate will have:

Essential Criteria:

•    Must be eligible for registration on the Social Care Workers registration board with CORU from November 2023, must obtain such registration by November 2025 and must maintain such registration for the duration of employment in this role. Please click here for list of CORU approved qualifications.
•    Experience in contributing to the development of personal plans.
•    Experience and knowledge of the role of a key worker.
•    Experience of delivering personal care to adults.
•    Experience of assisting adults with medical needs/ administering medication.
•    Experience of engaging in professional supervision.

Desirable Criteria:

•    Experience of working with adults with disabilities including physical/intellectual/ ASD/behaviours of concern.
•    Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team
•    Experience in taking leadership in the development of personal plans. 
•    Experience in responding to complaints
