We have an opportunity for a Locum Training, Research & Quality Officer, based in one of our Enable Ireland centres, to commence post Easter 2019.

The purpose of the role is to support both the development and implementation of a systematic and strategic approach to mandatory staff training, research and development and to support the implementation of demonstrating continuous improvement.
The vacancy has arisen as a requirement to deliver selected duties of the current permanent post holder during a period of maternity leave.

Overview of Duties & Responsibilities:

• Training: Responsible for the planning, organisation, development, review and evaluation of training programmes e.g. Induction, Health & Safety etc. Support a national approach to training. Support assessment and facilitation of local and external training events.
• Research: Act as Coordinator of the Enable Ireland Research, Ethics and Quality Committee (REQC). Manage nationwide journal subscriptions and audit usage reports.
• Quality: To support the development and implementation of a systematic and strategic approach to demonstrating continuous improvement across the organisation.

Essential Criteria:

• Educated to degree Level 8
• 5 years minimum post graduate work experience in Regulatory Compliance/ Training Programme Design, Delivery and Evaluation/ Managing Quality Improvement Initiatives
• Comprehensive understanding of research design and ethical considerations
• Ability to lead and monitor quality training, facilitation and evaluation
• Knowledge and skill in research methodologies, data collection and data management

Desirable Criteria:

• Knowledge and understanding of the principles or organisational performance and quality systems
• Strong knowledge of emerging issues and legislation in healthcare services
