We have an exciting opportunity for a Basic Grade Physiotherapist based at our
Enable Ireland North Tipperary CDNT Nenagh, Co Tipperary.

The Role:

To provide a quality, evidence based and family centered service to children and young people (0 – 18 years) with complex needs within an interdisciplinary framework and to support other staff and students as assigned.

Contract Type:  Full-time Permanent

Overview of Duties & Responsibilities
• Collaborate with the child / young person while working in partnership with their parent/family/carer and all other relevant stakeholders to identify and achieve goals.
• Maintains a disciplined and professional level of performance under sustained or situational pressure.
• Demonstrates a supportive and reciprocating work style including strong empathy with the child / young person and their parent/family/carers
• Is committed to achieving evidence based goals and the continuous improvement of the service.
• To work in collaboration with the other members of the interdisciplinary team in the planning and delivery of services for children and young people, in particular in the development of child and family centred planning.
• To carry out vaccination of both service owners/users and staff as required.

The successful candidate will have:

Essential Criteria:

• Hold a qualification in Physiotherapy acceptable to the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists and validated by the Department of Health
• Be eligible for membership of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists.
• Valid CORU Registration
• 1 year post qualification experience working in Paediatrics
• Experience working with children and their families

Desirable Criteria:

• Be a member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists.
• At least 6 months experience in working with children with disabilities
• Experience of working in a community based setting.
