JOB OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity for Health Care Assistants/Support Workers in the Dublin South (Dun Laoghaire) and Dublin South West (Crumlin/Rialto) areas.  These permanent posts may suit full-time or part-time candidates.
The Role: 
To provide opportunities for people with disabilities to develop a range of options in the areas of training, employment and greater inclusion in the community generally. The service is one which is based on the promotion of dignity, respect and the development of choice for those who use the service. 
The successful candidate will have:
Essential Criteria:
 FETAC Level 5 QQI Certificate in Social Care or relevant health related area.
 Minimum of 1 year recent experience working with adults with disabilities.
 Experience providing personal care to adults in their home or in a community setting.

Desirable Criteria:
 Experience working with adults with a physical disability.
 Experience working in the disability sector acting as a keyworker and assisting with Person Centred Plans for adults with disabilities.
 Hold a full clean drivers licence and be willing to drive Enable Ireland vehicles

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assisting service user’s with their personal care needs and any other individual needs that may arise, including the administration of medication, working in accordance with Enable Ireland’s policies and procedures.
• Assist in promoting self-development, independence and the individuality of each Service User.
• Provide assistance to service users with centre based day to day activities and programmes. 
• Assisting and supporting individuals in a community setting, including some lone working.  This can involve assisting people to access various employment settings, educational and/or social/leisure facilities within their own community.
