We have an exciting opportunity for a staff nurse (RGN/RCN/RNID) working in Enable Ireland Children’s Services Dublin South. This is a fixed term one year contract, part-time 25 hours per week.

The Role:  The purpose of the role is to work as a part of the interdisciplinary team providing services to children and families within the region, to include assessment, planning, intervention, and ongoing delivery of nursing services.

Overview of Duties & Responsibilities
• Deliver a high standard nursing care to an assigned group of service users within a best practice/evidence based framework.
• Day to day management of the designated caseload including planning, assessment and intervention using researched based practice.
• To assess, plan, implement and evaluate individual person centred care programmes in accordance with best practice.
• Ability to assess/care for children with epilepsy, respiratory difficulties, tracheostomy, and life limiting conditions.

The successful candidate will have:
Essential Criteria:

× A recognised validated University Degree or an equivalent qualification in General, Childrens and/or Intellectual Disability Nursing.
× Must be registered with An Bord Altranais.
× Be eligible to work in the state.
× Minimum of one years experience preferably working in a similar area of practice

Desirable Criteria:
× Registered Children’s Nurse Qualification.
× Experience working with children with disabilities, (physical disability, autism, learning disability) and their families.
