2019.03.29 Clinical Nurse Manager - EIJB0254

Location: Wicklow
Contract Type: Permanent full time

We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time permanent Clinical Nurse Manager, in our Community & Respite Services in Wicklow.
The Role:  The post holder will work as part of a dedicated and innovative team providing nursing care and support to children and adults attending the service. 

The services are:
(a) Silverpines based in Bray: 5 bed community based house, providing respite and holiday breaks for children with physical and/or Intellectual disabilities, within a quality framework.
(b) Rathmore based outside Arklow: 5 bed community based house providing respite and holiday breaks for Adults with physical and/or Intellectual disabilities, within a quality framework.

The successful candidate will have:
Essential Criteria:

 A recognised Degree or an equivalent qualification in General or Intellectual Disability Nursing
 Must be registered with An Bord Altranais.
 Minimum of 5 years post qualification experience.
 Minimum of 3 years working at a senior level, or in a supervisory capacity.
 Be eligible to work in the state.

Desirable Criteria:
Experience working with adults with disabilities, (physical disability, learning disability) and their families.

Duties & Responsibilities

• To deliver a high standard of nursing care to the assigned group of service users within a best practice/evidence based framework.
• To assist the PIC in ensuring compliance with the Health Act 2007 (Care and Support of Residents in Designated Centres for Persons [Children and Adults] with Disabilities) Regulations 2013.
• To manage the delivery of care of the designated caseload, to ensure compliance with Enable Ireland’s policies and procedures, and in line with HIQA guidelines.
• To act as a deputy Designated Liaison Person in accordance with the National Childrens First Guidelines as required.
