Supports are provided to children and young people through three Network Disability Teams (NDTs), which are based in the north, mid and south of the county. Each team consists of an Early Years and a School Age Team. The home address of the child or young person determines which team the family can access for support. Access to support is based on level of need and not diagnosis. Children with disabilities including physical, intellectual and sensory can access supports from the NDTs , which are provided by an interdisciplinary team made up of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, psychologists, social workers, some teams also provide support from social care and clinical nurse specialists.
