Enable Ireland Assistive Technology Training Calendar for 2011

The Enable Ireland National Assistive Technology (AT) Training Service have published their training calendar for 2011. A wide variety of courses, workshops, seminars and open days are available to people with disabilities, parents, carers, employers and other interested public. Courses on offer include training on the latest communication technology and an introduction to AT among others. Dates for the nine day certified AT Training course have also been released. Customised AT workshops can also be organised to meet the needs of specific training groups.

Training on offer for the remainder of 2011 includes:

About Enable Ireland National AT Training Service
The AT Training Service run both certified and customized AT courses, ranging in duration from a half day to nine days. They also run seminars targeting people with disabilities, therapists, educators and employers. The goal of this service is to deliver more training to parents and families of people with disabilities as awareness of the benefits of Assistive Technology grows among this population. Assistive Technology aims to offer the widest range of supports so that the user can make best use of all the features and advantages that technology has to offer. Assistive Technology is any item, whether purchased off the shelf, or customised, which enhances an individual’s independence.
