Services Overview

Our mission is to enable those who use our services to achieve maximum independence, choice and inclusion in their communities. We will do this by offering a range of services and supports of the highest quality, in line with needs and wishes of the service users and in active partnership with them.

The core values of Enable Ireland underpin the way in which we deliver services, interact with people and are held accountable. These values inform all our actions and ensure we achieve the highest standards in everything we do.

In keeping with the core values of our organisation, Sandymount Children’s Service operates in a family/ person centered way. This means that the child and family/ carer are at the centre of all decision making that affects them, we recognise that each child and their family/ carers are unique with diverse needs and preferences and that our service needs to be delivered in a way that accommodates and respects this, we facilitate families and carers to make informed decisions and choices though providing them with the knowledge, skill and information to do this. Therefore we ask families and carers what supports they require and help them to identify their priority needs.

In Sandymount, the service teams are Early Services, Pre-School, School, School Outreach Team, Respite/In home support and CoSMo. These teams may include a doctor, psychologist, social worker, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, speech and language therapist, nurse, link worker, child care staff and Montessori teachers.
