Early Services Team

The Early Services Team provides a range of services for children with physical disability and/or developmental delay aged 0–6 years. Disabilities include cerebral palsy, spina bifida, muscular dystrophy, genetic syndromes, and also no clear diagnosis. Referrals can be made by hospitals, GPs, Public Health Nurses, therapists, and individuals accompanied by appropriate medical records and relevant reports.

The Early Services Team aims to maximise mobility, play, communication, and social skills by providing an individual programme for each child in partnership with their family. This programme includes working directly with parents and their children in individual or group sessions and parent information and education sessions within the context of a family centred approach.
