Lavanagh House, Park Avenue Ballintemple is a specially adapted bungalow open since 1998. This three bedroom bungalow is a residential and respite service for children and adults attending Enable Ireland services. Based in the community, the house is near the city centre, Mahon Pont and Douglas Court shopping centre and local amenities.

The house is open from Monday to Sunday lunch-time throughout most of the year.  Our weekend and summer holiday respite breaks are aimed at children aged six to eighteen years.  Whilst our adult residents use the bungalow during the week. In 2008 we developed our Respite Criteria designed to support the way we manage our service to meet the considerable demand for this service.

Our experienced social care workers and support staff work in partnership with the service users, parents, carers and clinic staff to provide and home-from-home and person centred service.
