Changing fonts in Opera 9 for OS X

How to change the font style in Opera 9

Note: Mac key convention: ' Ctrl ' is used for 'Control', ' Apple ' is used for 'Command' and ' Alt ' is used for the 'Option' key.

Note: For keyboard access make sure ' Full keyboard access ' is turned on - you can turn it on or off; by pressing ' Ctrl ' + ' F1 ' at any time.

Instructions

Click on the ' Opera' menu and then click on ' Preferences... ' as shown in Fig 1 or press ' Apple ' +',' (comma).

Click on the ' Web pages ' tab or press ' Alt ' + ' Tab ' until the ' Web pages ' tab is selected as shown in Fig 2.

Click on the large button next to ' Normal font ' as shown in Fig 2 (' Times') below or press ' Tab ' until the button is selected and then press the ' Spacebar '.

This will bring up the ' Select font ' window as shown in Fig 3.

Click on the font you want or press ' Tab' until the ' Font ' box is highlighted and use the up and down arrows to select your font

Click the ' OK ' button or press ' Enter ' to return to the ' Preferences ' window.
Next click on the ' Advanced ' tab or press ' Alt ' + ' Tab' to highlight it (see Fig 4 below).

Click on ' Content ' or use the up and down arrow to select it (see Fig 4).

Click on the ' Style options ' button or press ' Tab ' until it is highlighted and press the ' Spacebar ' as highlighted in Fig 4.

Click on the ' Presentations mode ' tab or press ' Alt ' + ' Tab' to highlight it.

Under both the ' Author mode ' and ' User mode ' options turn off page style sheet by clicking on the checkbox next to ' Page style sheet ' or press ' Tab ' until the checkbox in the ' Author mode ' column is selected and press the ' Spacebar ', repeat for ' Page style ' sheet in the ' User mode ' column. The checkboxes should no longer have ' ticks' in them. See Fig 5 below.

Uncheck the ' Page fonts and colors' checkboxes to turn them off.

Select the ' My fonts and colors ' under both the ' Author mode ' and ' User mode ' headings either by clicking on the checkboxes with a mouse or press ' Tab ' until the checkbox in the ' Author mode ' column is selected and press the ' Spacebar ', repeat for ' My fonts and colors ' in the ' User mode ' column. The checkboxes should have ' ticks' in them. See Fig 5 below.

Click the ' OK ' button twice or press ' Enter ' twice to return to Opera.
