Changing colours in Mozilla

This page explains step-by-step how to change the text and background colours in Mozilla

Instructions

Click the ' Edit ' menu or press ' Alt' + 'E '.

Click ' Preferences ' or press ' E ' to display the preferences dialog box (Fig 1).

Click on the cross next to the ' Appearance ' heading on the left, or select it using the arrow keys and press the ' right arrow ' key, to expand it ( ' left arrow ' key will collapse it).

Click the ' Colors ' sub heading, or select it using the arrow keys, to view the ' Color' preferences section (Fig 2).

To change your text colour, click the colour swatch next to the ' Text: ' heading and click your preferred colour, or press ' Alt' + 'T ' to jump to the text colour palette and use the cursor keys to browse the list of colours and press ' Enter ' when your chosen colour is highlighted.

To change your preferred background colour, click the colour swatch next to the ' Background: ' heading and click your preferred colour, or press ' Alt' + 'B ' to jump to the background colour palette and use the cursor keys to browse the list of colours and press ' Enter ' when your chosen colour is highlighted.

Click the radio button next to ' Use my chosen colours ignoring the colors and background image specified ', or Tab to this section, and select this option with the arrow keys.

Click ' OK ', or ' Tab ' to the ' OK ' button and press ' Enter ', to return to Mozilla.

Note: If this does not work it could be because your computer settings cannot be changed due to local IT policies - contact your local IT support for further help.
