Berlin Marathon 25 September 2011

Join the Enable Ireland Marathon team this September and participate in one of Europe’s finest marathon events.  The course is flat, asphalted, traffic-free and fast – in fact the fastest course in the world.  In 2008 Haile Gebrselassie broke his own world record, also set in Berlin the previous year, with a new time of 2:03:59. The race starts at 9.00am on the six-lane Strasse des 17 Juni and is run in an average annual temperature of 13oC / 55 oF. The course takes in some of East and West Berlin's great sights, before finishing close to the start area at the magnificent Brandenburg Gate and the Reichstag. Showers, massage and refreshments are provided at the finish area.  The Berlin Marathon online entry is now closed so take this opportunity to join our team and raise much needed funds for your local Enable Ireland Services.
