Respite Services

Residential Respite

Silverpines Community House based in Bray provides respite breaks for children over the age of 7 years. Planned respite breaks take place during the school year with longer breaks taking place during school holidays.

Children play an active part in planning their respite break and enjoy a range of activities which are appropriate for their age, interest and ability.  All activities are designed to promote maximum independence and inclusion in the local and wider community.

Home Support – LINK Service

The purpose of this service is to provide short-term (approximately 3 hours) breaks to families. In Home Support workers spend time in the home with the child or involve the child in community, age appropriate activities.   By availing of this service parents have time to spend with other children, or the opportunity to have some time to themselves.

Both of these respite services are managed by the Coordinator of Respite Services, who is based at Silverpines House.
