Action Week 2009 Online Survey

We are inviting people with disabilities and their families to take part in our Action Week 2009 survey. The survey will investigate your experiences participating in social and leisure activities in your communities. Click here to complete the survey.

The survey will probe the barriers that people with disabilities may face when taking part in social and leisure activities from joining a local youth group for a child to going to the local pub for an adult. These could include physical access barriers, lack of confidence or a shortage of Personal Assistance hours.

The survey consists of just 10 questions and results will be released in advance of Action Week on Disability, which will take place from 14 – 19 September 2009.

We hope the results will give community leaders and business owners food for thought and encourage them to be more aware of the needs of people with disabilities whether that is in shopping centres, restaurants, playgrounds or cinemas.
