Supports
Life is less stressful and easier for both the child and parent, knowing the child is getting the right supports to suit their needs.
Our integrative team approach to service delivery would not be complete without providing support to children and their families outside of their basic therapy needs.
We value a child’s overall development and this means providing services to maximise their independence skills in all areas of life, from mobility to communication; in school, at home and during social and leisure time.
An essential role of the services team is to provide support in the use of Assistive Technologies. This can range from support with positioning and mobility equipment such as seating systems or wheelchairs to the use of communicating aids, computer software and environmental control technologies.
Child and family support workers are also on hand to advise on a variety of issues, such as benefits and entitlements, and other assistance that may be available, such as personal assistants both in school and out. The teams also arrange respite and outings during holidays and have a transport service to support this.
