Who We are

We are the service users in Limerick Adult Services, Quinn's Cross, Limerick

Our Mission

“The aim of Limerick Advocacy group is to have our voice heard, to share information, to make a difference at local and national level and to be involved in the decision making process within Enable Ireland”

What we do

Limerick Advocacy group is divided into two groups.

• Group 1. Trainees / Quantum Leap.
• Group 2. Day Services.

Our representatives at national level are Enda Gallagher and Trevor Kennedy.

We meet on a weekly or fortnightly basis. Carol Hanley is our Advocacy Facilitator. We discuss issues of concern to us. The minutes of these meetings are passed on to the Management Team. Responses and relevant information is referred back for our next meeting. Local issues are  brought to national level by our reps and vice versa.

Our Goals

• To share information with all our Service Users.
• To continue to share in the decision making process within Enable Ireland

Future Plans

To be instrumental in promoting disability awareness among student and other interested groups.
