Community development entails a variety of different vocational, educational and social programmes. The objective is to enhance opportunities for service users in a mainstream setting.
Depending on the individual, opportunities can include accessing mainstream education/training on a part- or full-time basis, participating in a local area partnership, or using local social and leisure facilities.
